au pair agency
Nora Roche
How I work
I have been running the agency since 1999 originally based in London with Au Pairs coming to me through colleague agencies with whom I have been working for many years mostly from Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Spain and Italy. Throughout the placement process and for the duration of the Au Pair stay, I offer assistance and support on any matters related to the placement from information on language schools, hours of duty, clarifying with your Au Pair her duties, connecting Au Pair with friends, helping you communicate with your Au Pair on house rules and any questions or matters that come up and need clarity or action throughout the placement.
If something is niggling you, just call and we can have a chat about it.

Placement Process
First you will complete a Family Details Form (email me and I will send it to you) and provide as much information together with a typical weekly schedule and family photo. Please provide as much information as possible to help me find the best match au pair for your family. I will match your details and where possible will interview the applicant and explain directly the help you are looking for.
Details you receive will include:-
Completed Application Form, References (childcare and character), Medical Certificate, Police Check, Dear Family Letter, Photos, Copy of passport or ID, Copy of driving licence (if applicable).
Skype is an ideal introduction to your prospective Au Pair as it is as close to interviewing in person as we can get. The success of a placement nearly always comes down to personality, follow your instincts and communicate lots via email and skype and exchange photos to see if the proposed applicant feels suitable for your family.
Health and Legal
Au Pairs from EEA countries are not required to pay national insurance contributions and should be eligible for NHS health care http://www.pah.nhs.uk/files/b)%20Entitlement%20EEA%20Visitors.pdf.
European Economic Area nationals are free to come to the UK to work or study without any formalities. Students from any country attending a course involving a minimum of 15 hours of organized daytime study per week may work 20 hours per week.
I recommend to all Au Pairs to take out medical insurance before travelling to the UK.
